Ahmed Ololade (born January 13, 1995), known professionally as Asake, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter blending Afrobeats, Fuji, and Amapiano. Since signing with YBNL Nation/Empire in 2022, he’s broken Apple Music records with his debut album Mr. Money with the Vibe, which debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard 200—the highest-ever for a Nigerian debut at the time—and set streaming milestones with 9.2 million first-day Spotify streams for his August 2024 album Lungu Boy.

A multi-award winner—claims include Headies, MOBO, All Africa Music Award—and two-time Grammy nominee, Asake has also sold out arenas worldwide, making history at the Barclays Center and O2 Arena, and performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Continually pushing Afrobeats forward, he launched his own imprint Giran Republic in February 2025 with the single “Why Love.”
